The German Car brand is known for investing heavily in a photo centric content strategy to speak to its users and draw in attention from potential customers, which is made evident by its top 10 most engaging posts, all of which are photos. Mercedes-Benz received an average engagement score of 744 in a sector where the average sits around the 500-mark. According to Unmetric, of 30 updates recorded 28 were photos that received a very high engagement rate.

In a bid to retain customer loyalty and improve overall reach, Woolworths Australia makes a big deal about competitions, which are known to up the engagement levels and evoke social actions among a set demographic. In the recent Win for Your Valentine Contest, Unmetric reported that the master post received an incredibly high score for engagement of 991. The average engagement score in general was 489, going some lengths to bypass the sector average of 141.


Visa Australia is the stand-out performer amongst finance brands on Facebook owing to a delicately delivered customer-care approach to connecting with its fans. The method undertaken was to actively seek answers from its audience about the Visa service thereby allowing members of the general public an unexpected route to first-hand dialogue with the people behind the corporate mark. Unmetric reported that the tactic pays off in this case with Visa achieving an engagement score of 937, more than three times the sector average.
